107 Year Old Blogger - Amazing!

In keeping with the topic of aging here, I nose around the internet a good bit. I just stumbled upon a story about the world’s oldest blogger. And, she probably is the world’s oldest blogger, but who knows? For a while, it seems the record shifted among several folks in their 90s until it was discovered that an Australian lady who’s close to turning 108 took the cake. Continue Reading »

Is 70 Really the New 50?

More and more, I’m hearing that 70 is the new 50. Since I’m currently 70, I’m just delighted to learn of this. Of course, there always will be detractors when good news comes calling. What struck me, though, was the extent to which lawyers, even senior partners in law firms, are falling victim to age discrimination. Continue Reading »

Remembering Names of Grandchildren

I’m a grandparent, and continue to have a little difficulty with the names of my grandchildren. It seems these days hardly anyone gets named Bill or John or Mary or Jane. Often baby names are phonetics cobbled together to produce a hoped for unique or memorable identity, frequently with alternate spellings.
