I agree with your notion that a working retirement is a great way to stay productive and earn extra income. Your examples so far are well developed and I am glad you found something you like to do!

Douglas, I would just look into buying web design software and starting from there. In this day and age, you don't need to hand-code anything anymore, or even know code itself. Most web programs will let you use templates, like most of these examples are, and let you interchange images and content. Trial and error and a leap of faith my friend!

Otherwise, I would say find something you are passionate about and see how you might be able to make it profitable. Thanks for sharing your ideas!

I enjoyed your post and the examples. BUT if you are going to give advice like this it might be helpful to direct people where they can pick-up the skills they need to follow your advice.

My research shows most, if not all, the normal ways of gaining web-site building skills are a) aimed at young people looking for a school to attend.
                       b) informal, non-disciplined approachs from sites on the web that usually address only part of the skill set needed.
or c) want you to buy their software which they assure you will make you a "web master" with no coding or formal training!

That said, I want to say again that I liked your blogg. Please, continue.
